產(chǎn)品介紹The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. It is found in secretory vesicles of neurons and endocrine cells. This gene product is a precursor to three biologically active peptides; vasostatin, pancreastatin, and parastatin. These peptides act as autocrine or paracrine negative modulators of the neuroendocrine system. Other peptides, including chromostatin, beta-granin, WE-14 and GE-25, are also derived from the full-length protein. However, biological activities for these molecules have not been shown. Function:
Pancreastatin strongly inhibits glucose induced insulin release from the pancreas.

Interacts with SCG3.

Subcellular Location:
Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle lumen. Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle membrane. Secreted. Note=Associated with the secretory granule membrane through direct interaction to SCG3 that in turn binds to cholesterol-enriched lipid rafts in intragranular conditions.

Sulfated on tyrosine residues and/or contains sulfated glycans.

嗜鉻粒素A蛋白存在與很多組織中：胃腸道內(nèi)分泌細胞和類癌、甲狀旁腺、垂體前葉、腎上腺髓質(zhì)、神經(jīng)節(jié)、副神經(jīng)節(jié)、胰島、甲狀腺C細胞等組織和其來源的腫瘤都表達該成分.嗜鉻素A（CgA）屬于可溶性的酸性蛋白，主要存在于神經(jīng)內(nèi)分泌細胞的分泌顆粒中，也存在于含有分泌顆粒的內(nèi)分泌細胞和神經(jīng)內(nèi)分泌細胞來源的腫瘤細胞中。檢測循環(huán)中的免疫反應CgA對神經(jīng)內(nèi)分泌瘤具有診斷意義。另外，CgA的免疫組織化學檢測對鑒定來源于神經(jīng)內(nèi)分泌的腫瘤起到輔助作用。
